Adriana Lima turned plenty of heads at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in
New York City on Monday.
The
Victoria's Secret Angel, 35, wrapped her model figure in a silky black
gown that plunged deep in the front and held a slit high up her legs.
She paired the couture with sparkly Chopard baubles and embellished black heels.
The Brazilian beauty stunned in a floor
length black gown that parted in the middle to reveal her gorgeous gams
and even underwear.
She kept her decolletage bare and only paired rings with a pair of stunning earrings.
Her makeup was simple as she donned a light rose shade for her lips.
Her flawless skin looked bronzed and glowed with every turn of her head.
She kept her brunette hair tight back in a tight bun that showcased her world famous face.
Adriana's ankle tattoo peeked through her sparkly opened toed heels.
As before, the Met Gala will also launch
the spring exhibition, which this year celebrates designer and Comme Des
Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo, per
Vogue.
The
last time the Met Gala celebrated an exhibition that revolved about on a
single living designer's work was in 1983, the designer being Yves
Saint Laurent.
Anna, Vogue's
editor-in-chief, will be co-chairing the fête alongside Katy Perry and
Pharrell Williams, and the exhibition will open in full this coming
Thursday, May 4.
André Leon Talley, a Vogue contributing
editor and Met Gala fixture, told the magazine: 'The exhibition will
showcase 150 of Kawakubo’s most extraordinary designs dating as far back
as the early 1980s.'
Said
the North Carolina-born 67-year-old: 'It’s a showcase of fashion as
told through the lens of our contemporary culture, and should not be
missed.'
Dished Met Galas past, he
recalled when Cher 'descended the escalator in her brilliant Bob Mackie
sequin see-through jumpsuit, way ahead of her time, in 1974.'
So ahead that, as Kim Kardashian wrote on
kimkardashianwest.com last week, her own 2015 Met Gala dress had been 'inspired' by that very 1974 Bob Mackie number
