She often graces the catwalk in just her lingerie.
So
Adriana Lima is naturally more than comfortable in an array of skimpy
ensembles, as illustrated on Thursday when she headed to a
New York photoshoot wearing a dazzling gown with risque splits.
The 35-year-old
Victoria's Secret angel proved she has all the top model credentials as she dazzled in a silky red dress which flashed her endless legs.
Adriana looked nothing
short of sensational in the silk gown which oozed high-end fashion with
its biased cut upper half and billowing bottom.
The red stood out boldly against her golden skin-tone with the chiffon base showing off her stunning figure to its full extent.
She boosted her already statuesque height
with the addition of no-doubt designer strappy black heels which gave a
further racy feel.
Her raven locks
fell loose down her back while slicked down with a side-parting on top,
to nail her slinky vibes while her make-up was perfectly applied.
As she placed one hand on her hip, she
strutted her stuff into the event - treating the side walk as a catwalk
while walking the tiny red carpet.
Adriana
was married to Serbian basketball player Marko Jarić, 38, for five
years, but the couple sadly decided to part ways and 'co-parent' in
2014.
She is one of the most successful models of her generation; She raked in a staggering $9 million USD in 2015 alone.
Her name is almost synonymous with
underwear brand Victoria's Secret and Adriana has been selected to wear
the coveted million dollar Fantasy Bra twice, in 2008 and 2012.
She
was criticised in a 2011 interview with the Daily Telegraph for
revealing the diet that she and the other models undergo before walking
the world-famous Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Adriana
revealed her diet regimen to the newspaper nine days before the show,
she drinks only protein shakes: 'No liquids at all so you dry out,
sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that,' she said.
She also stated that the last three weeks
before the show, she works out twice a day. The interview received harsh
criticism with fears that Adriana was promoting anorexia.
Shortly afterwards, Lima defended herself in an interview with People magazine: 'I know it's very intense but ...
'I
just have an athlete's mind and I appreciate doing this thing,' she
said. 'It's not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it
for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again.'
